JOB TITLE: Custodian (Hourly)
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction from the Parts Manager is responsible for all custodial cleanliness, sanitation, security, safety and maintenance of the assigned facility, buildings, grounds and equipment. Maintains custodial inventory and equipment, custodial repairs. Performs heavy cleaning duties to include but not limited to cleaning floors, rugs, washing walls, glass and removing rubbish. Coordinates and interacts with parts, service, sales, welding, operations, and other nonsupervisory positions to manage custodial projects.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: This position requires daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities that must be complete in a timely manner.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean and supply restrooms and Kitchen.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirror using soapy water or other cleaners and sponges.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Lawn Maintenance and Yard Maintenance.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish and polish floors.
- Drive vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks or industrial vacuum cleaners.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
- Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Performs functions that are assigned by management.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least the following minimum requirements:
- Must have a GED or High School diploma. This position requires at least 1 years of cleaning experience.
- Must have excellent organizational and detail orientated abilities.
- Must have knowledge of all company policies and procedures. Must be able to work on a time table, follow instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment. Must be physically capable of moving about on substructures work sites and under adverse field conditions.
- Must have excellent team experiences, working in a team orientated, collaborative environment. Must also have exceptional customer service orientation and ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- May be required to work weekends or 12 hour shifts.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
The position requires long hours, handle conflicts, and make decisions under pressure. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, feel or operate tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires movement of the entire. The employee must lift up to 50 pounds, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear and smell. The employee must have specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high places and is occasionally exposed to wet, cold and /or humid conditions, fumes or airborne participles, toxic or caustic chemicals, work with electricity and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. This position requires a valid Texas driver’s license and applicable auto insurance. This position may require long term travel as needed.

JOB TITLE: Service Technician (Hourly)
Under the general direction from the Service Manager, the Service Technicians will work to service and meet client commitments and work orders. This position requires an electrical, mechanical and/or crane experience. Works closely with the Service Manager to ascertain client priorities, schedules and deadlines.
This position requires daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities that must be complete in a timely manner.
- Facilitates and troubleshoots the problems associated with any mechanical/electrical issues with service projects. Must have excellent knowledge of all company policies and procedures and all safety requirements for the position.
- Reads work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts for Company clients. Must have excellent knowledge of English in order to write, speak and read Company documents.
- Replaces defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts. Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools. Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
- Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blue prints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures. Signal crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate and align unit to centerline.
- Insert shims, adjust tensions on nuts and bolts, or positions parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts. Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks. Attach moving parts and sub assemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools. Lay out mounting holes, using measuring instruments and drill holes with power drill.
- Direct Service Helpers on various tasks and ensure that the Service Helper is utilizing the proper PPE. The Service Technicians must be on call for two weeks at a time.
- Bolt parts such as side and deck plates, jaw plates and journals, to basic assembly. Level bedplate and establish centerline, using straightedge, levels and transit. Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbar and other hand tools. Shrink fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels to specified item, using portable gas heating equipment.
- Must inspect cranes and provide OSHA related documentation to all crane inspections.
- Must be able to work on a time table, follow instruction, responds to client direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to complete daily reports and respond to customer issues.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires at least the following minimum requirements:
- Must have a GED or High School diploma. This position requires at least 3 years of previous electrical or mechanical and/or crane technical experience.
- Must have excellent organizational and detail orientated abilities. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be able to work with others to resolve issues and maintain composure in an environment of changing priorities and deadlines.
- Must have knowledge of all company policies and procedures. Must be able to work on a time table, follow instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment. Must be physically capable of moving about on substructures work sites and under adverse field conditions.
- Must have excellent mathematical skills in order to measure and calculate service jobs.
